About the Program
The Parish Missionary Intern program started in 2013 under direction of then Director of Evangelization, Joshua Johnson. The idea behind the missionary intern program was to approach leadership of youth faith formation programs as a collaboration between parish volunteers and a missionary intern who could facilitate the coordination of all aspects of the respective faith formation program.
As the landscape of youth ministry as shifted over the past few years, so has vision of the Missionary Internship program. Still being grounded in forming missionary interns to be equipped leaders in parish life and ministries, we emphasis our focus on these young adults being able to intentional accompany youth and young adults on their journey of faith.

The parish’s current Missionary Intern Director, Jenny Hill, directs all elements of the Parish Missionary Intern program, oversees the development and facilitation of the Youth Faith Formation programs: High School Small Groups, Middle and High School Youth Groups, Teen Confirmation Preparation, and Roots Young Adult Group.
About the Churches
Our Lady Star of the Sea and Holy Trinity Churches are beginning the process of joining into one Parish community and growing into a vibrant and faithful center of evangelical Catholicism here in Western Washington. With reverent liturgy and music, a great devotion to our Lady and being centered upon the Eucharist our parish is alive and growing.
​Most recently Our Lady Star of the Sea School has transitioned to a Catholic Liberal Arts Curriculum and an independent Classical High School Academy has recently launched at Holy Trinity.
​​The both churches has over 1,350 registered families with dozens of dynamic ministries spreading between the two churches. The churches are approximately 3.5 miles apart from one another in the Bremerton area. Despite the evident Catholic presence, Bremerton remains to be the eighth most "un-churched" city in the country.
​Bremerton is fourteen miles west of Seattle by ferry, is surrounded by the Puget Sound and within view of the majestic Olympic Mountains to the west and the Cascade Mountains to the east. We are also next to the Bremerton Navy Base so we are blessed to get to welcome and journey with military families as they come and go.
