FAITH FORMATION: CHILDREN

faith-works.jpg

Faith Works is Bremerton Catholic's Lectionary based Religious Education Program open to all children in grades PreK-5.

Faith Works offers children a fun way to learn about their faith outside of a typical classroom setting.  Faith Works is fully Catholic in its teaching and provides the opportunity for families to live and discuss the Gospel on a weekly basis.

Faith Works meets weekly from 6:00-7:20pm on Wednesdays, September 16 through May.

FIRST COMMUNION / FIRST CONFESSION

To join our First Sacraments classes children need to be:

  • At least 7 years old.

  • Baptized Catholic.

  • Attend Mass regularly.

  • Children are expected to know basic prayers including: The Sign of the Cross, The Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be, prior to registering.

  • Completed at least one year of either: Faith Works, Catholic School or Home School Curriculum.

We begin in the fall with First Confession formation which includes two classes and one retreat.  In the spring, two classes and a retreat focus on First Communion formation.  All preparation classes are mandatory for parent and child in tandem with weekly faith formation at either Faith Works, Catholic school or a Home school curriculum.
